Having just exhibited at the 6th edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, Raja Boro presents new woodcut prints created over the last month at our studio space in Aldona Market. These prints draw inspiration from the landscapes around Aldona, Goa.
For the open studio night, Munir Kabani lays out a selection of found soundscapes ranging from some of his favourite ambient and musical tracks, to newer sound bytes specifically curated for this OPEN edition.
Raja Boro is a printmaker born in Assam in 1994. He completed an M.V.A. from MSU, Baroda, and a B.F.A. in Printmaking from Kala Bhavana, Shanti Niketan. He is inspired by the natural beauty of his surroundings, viewing landscapes as symbols of love, peace, power, purity, joy, wisdom, and happiness. He has participated in many exhibitions in India and internationally, including: Sille Mail Art Exhibition, Turkey 2020; The 6th Tokyo International Mini-Print Triennial 2018, Tama Art University.
